Vasterhaninge, Sweden

Dear Family,

This week was completely jam packed and there was a ton of stuff that happened! I learned a lot but had a lot of fun as well!

We have been working with a man from Iran named Arman lately. He has a baptismal date for the 25th of April that we are working towards. Arman was actually traveled to Germany for the week so we weren't able
to meet with him. We've kept some good contact so we're praying that he will continue to progress. He has lived in Sweden for over 30 years but actually can't speak Swedish very well so we have to have a
translator in Persian. It works out really well because we can get a member there for the lessons so I think it is actually a blessing.

On Thursday I went on a short splits with Elder Lundquist who is a Zone Leader in the Southern Stockholm Zone. While we were on splits we talked a little bit about trials and adversity while on the mission. We were talking about the reasons that things happen and the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us while we're out serving missions. Elder Lundquist compared what happens on missions to the temple that is being built in Provo. The Provo Tabernacle was a wonderful building. A building where the Spirit could be felt and a place that people were benefited from. The Provo Tabernacle ended up burning down and just walls remained. A while later, President Monson announced that the Tabernacle would be built into a second temple in Provo. Now the Provo City Center temple will be the House of the Lord and people on both sides of the veil will be blessed. Elder Lundquist compared it to the time that we have to serve on the mission. Sometimes we are given trials and adversity from the Lord so that he can build us up into something better. The Lord once said to the Prophet Joseph Smith, "And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good." I know that the Lord gives us trials to help us become something better, something that he needs us to be.

I love you all and I hope you all have a great week!

OH... also... cool thing that happened this week. SO... Elder Burton and I were walking home the other night, we came around the corner of the apartment building, and BAM... there they were. The Northern
Lights were just hanging out in the sky. They decided to take a quick stop in Västerhaninge, Sweden. Super cool! I didn't think I'd ever see them all the way down here in Stockholm but it was such a cool
experience!

Alright well I love you all again and hope you all have a stellar week! Keep up the good work! You all have a fan in Sweden just cheering you all on!

Strength and Honor
Elder Caleb Hendrik Featherstone
